Two kinds of poker under one login: tables against the dealer and a room against other players.

In short
Unibet Casino Poker comes in two forms. Casino poker pits you against the dealer at live and RNG tables and at video poker machines. The separate Unibet Poker room runs Texas Hold'em, Omaha and HexaPro against other players, in cash games, tournaments and Sit & Go.
The difference matters more than it sounds. At a dealer table the house sets the paytable, the pace is quick and the only opponent is a fixed set of rules. In the room, Unibet simply hosts the game and your results depend on the people sitting with you. Both sit behind the same account.
Unibet splits its mobile products into three apps: Sports, Casino and Poker. That is good news for poker, because the room gets software built for card tables instead of a tab squeezed into a casino lobby. The site also runs in a phone browser, so an app is a convenience and not a condition.
Unibet does not list store ratings or system requirements on its apps page, so we will not quote any. Live dealer tables stream video, so a steady connection matters more for them than for video poker or RNG tables.
The poker room is Unibet's own product. Casino poker is a different story: those games are built by outside studios and slotted into the casino and live casino sections. The Irish lobby renders after login, so we describe the studios whose poker titles are typical for it, without promising that one particular table is open tonight.
Evolution is the heavyweight here. The studio holds the live rights to five house-banked poker variants, and its tables are streamed with a real dealer, real cards and a chat box. NetEnt belongs to the same group and supplies classic video poker, while Play'n GO covers RNG tables you click through at your own speed.
For the rest of the dealer-led catalogue, including roulette and blackjack from the same studios, see our guide to the live tables.
Two lobbies
There are really two lobbies to learn. The casino one is a grid of game tiles; the room one is a list of tables and tournaments with filters. Here is what each holds.
Found in the casino and live casino sections. You bet, the dealer deals, the paytable decides.
Found at unibet.ie/poker. You play other people, and the stakes are chosen by you.
The tournament list in the room can be narrowed by buy-in: €0-9, €10-25 and €26 or more. Freerolls cost nothing to enter and still pay real money. Cash tables are described by Unibet as covering a wide range of stakes; exact blinds appear once you are logged in, so we leave the numbers out.
The room also runs challenges. Complete them and you earn vouchers that convert into tournament tickets for an event of your choice. Table counts and stake limits for the live casino poker tables are not published either.
Poker against the house is one of the better-paying corners of any casino, on one condition: you have to play each hand correctly. The studios publish an optimal theoretical return, which is the long-run payback when every call, fold and discard is the mathematically best one. Sloppy decisions cost more than the figures suggest.
In words: Jacks or Better Double Up returns 99.56%, Ultimate Texas Hold'em 99.47% measured against the total main bet, Casino Hold'em 97.84% on the Ante, Three Card Poker 96.63% on Ante and Play, and Caribbean Stud Poker 96.30%. All five are main-bet figures. Side bets pay less over time; on Casino Hold'em the Bonus bet returns 93.74% and on Three Card Poker the Pair Plus bet returns 95.51%.
| Game | Side bet | Wins on |
|---|---|---|
| Casino Hold'em | Bonus | Pair of aces+ |
| Three Card Poker | Pair Plus | Any pair+ |
| Caribbean Stud | 5+1 Bonus | Three of a kind+ |
Swipe the table sideways on a phone to see every column.
Evolution states that the 5+1 Bonus on Caribbean Stud and the Bonus bet on Texas Hold'em Bonus each pay up to 1,000 to 1.
Main bets on dealer poker are low to medium volatility. Most hands end in an even-money result or a small loss, and your balance moves in gentle steps. Video poker sits a little higher because a large slice of the return is locked up in rare hands such as a royal flush. Side bets and progressive jackpots are the high-volatility layer: long quiet stretches, then an occasional big payout.
The poker room has no RTP at all. The room hosts the game and the money moves between players.
Below are four poker games and four card games that poker players tend to open next. Use the two menus to cut the list down.

The closest thing to Texas Hold'em you can play against a dealer. You post an Ante, see two hole cards and the flop, then either fold or Call for double the Ante. The dealer needs a pair of fours or better to qualify. The Play'n GO three-hand version lets you run up to three hands against the same dealer cards, and its AA Bonus pays when your first five cards make a pair of aces or better.
Five cards, hold what you like, draw once. Jacks or Better Double Up dates from 2014 and adds an optional red-or-black gamble after a win. First Person Video Poker from Evolution puts the machine on a 3D casino floor and offers five paytables: Jacks or Better, Tens or Better, Deuces Wild, Bonus Poker and Double Double Bonus. Its 99.54% applies to the Jacks or Better paytable.
Evolution's live Three Card Poker deals three cards each, and the dealer plays with queen high or better. Caribbean Stud is the five-card cousin, where the dealer needs ace-king to qualify. Neither title had art in our catalogue, so they are described here and left out of the filter.
These are the points poker players tend to value most about the room and the dealer tables, gathered into one summary.
The casual tone is the thread that runs through most of it. Tournament players also like the buy-in filter, a small feature that saves real time.
On the casino side, fans of Unibet Casino Poker tables point to the high published returns. The tip passed around most often is a practical one: learn the basic strategy for a single game before adding side bets.
Start to finish
Here is a full hand of live Casino Hold'em from login to payout, followed by what changes if you sit down in the poker room instead.
In the poker room the opening steps are the same, then the path splits. You pick a game type, filter by buy-in, choose an alias and an avatar and take a seat. From there every bet comes from a player. A Sit & Go starts as soon as the seats fill, and the top two finishers are always paid.
Set a budget for the session before the first hand and decide in advance what you will do when it is gone. A break between tables costs nothing.
If play stops being fun, free and confidential help is available from Gambling Care and Problem Gambling Ireland. Poker is for adults aged 18 and over.
New poker players get a starter pack that is separate from the casino welcome offer. It is made of table tickets plus a playthrough bonus.
The poker page adds up the ticket value in its own headline; we list the tickets one by one because they are what you actually receive. How the playthrough bonus is released is set out in the offer terms after sign-up, so read them before you count on the full amount. The casino side has its own deal, the €40 Money Back Offer with a €10 Casino Bonus, and wagering terms apply to it. There is no promo code and no no-deposit bonus for either product.
Deposits in Ireland are made by debit card (Visa Debit, Mastercard debit, Maestro) or through an online payment service such as PayPal. Credit cards are not accepted for gambling, which has been the law since 5 February 2026.
Unibet is operated by Platinum Gaming Limited and serves customers in the Republic of Ireland under licence GRAI-0890-RB-26-0001 from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland. Winnings from poker are not taxed in the hands of the player. For how we check facts like these, see the method notes, and for the wider casino picture head back to the main Unibet Casino guide. When you are ready, you can open the poker lobby and pick a seat.
